r. christian anderson With over 36 years of professional experience in photography, advertising, and illustration combined with 11 years in web marketing and business consultation, Christian has illustrated and designed more than 40 magazine and book covers and his work can be found on product packaging, brochures, web sites and t-shirts. A prolific writer, he has written articles for several important publications. He currently concentrates on marketing consultation, editorial photography, product package design and web design. He continues to write and has 3 feature film screenplays under his belt. His first feature film "Dark Crux" is in production and he will be director and co-writer with Brian Delizareaux. biography A native Californian, Christian was born in Los Angeles and raised in Hollywood, his mother was an editorial model for the legendary Peter Gowland. She later became a radio disc jockey for KMPC during the 1950's. His step-father, the late Raymond D. Bowman, was a classical and jazz concert impresario who formerly owned the Bowman-Mann Art Gallery in Beverly Hills and later worked as a classical music critic in Los Angeles. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Christian was trained as a graphic designer who worked with the Aerospace Audio-Visual Service producing and directing training films. After discharge he was self-employed for the next two decades in San Francisco as a freelance graphic designer and designed numerous posters, brochures, print ads and advertising campaigns. He also enjoyed three one-man art exhibitions of his fine art and photography. Returning to Southern California a decade ago, He obtained his degree in Multimedia from Platt College in San Diego where he studied digital film production. Over the next few years he gained valuable experience with two well-known advertising agencies and soon established his own company, R. Christian Anderson Productions. While on vacation in Palm Springs in 2001, He decided to relocate and did so the following year. Today, his clients come from Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Hollywood, West Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Studio City and San Diego to the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, and Washington. He became Production Manager for the film "Motel 5150", which was shown at the "Cannes Film Festival" Film Market this year. He provided the still photography and designed the poster and props for the film, as well. He also worked on production management for "Return to Babylon" and the prize winning short "Automaton". He now is in pre-production as co-writer and director for the new science fiction feature film "Dark Crux". Christian is listed in the Marquis "Who's Who in America®" for 2007, which features only 110,000 of the nation's highest achievers.
